Grabouw Map Poster & Print
Grabouw lies in the Elgin Valley of the Western Cape, east of Cape Town beyond the Hottentots Holland mountains. The N2 reaches the valley over Sir Lowry's Pass, and the town sits in a basin surrounded by higher ground. Its streets are compact, with residential areas spreading up the gentle slopes around the centre.
The valley is one of South Africa's main apple-growing areas, and orchards cover much of the land around the town, alongside pear farms and, more recently, vineyards. Dams and reservoirs appear throughout the area, used to irrigate the fruit farms. The mountains and nature reserves on the valley edges add wide stretches of wild land.
A Grabouw map poster shows a town surrounded by carefully managed farmland. The regular rows and blocks of orchard land, the small dams and the curving mountain roads all frame the compact centre. The result is a map with a strong rural rhythm.

Farm dams
Small reservoirs are scattered across the surrounding land, their smooth shapes appearing as clean blank forms among the fields.
N2 corridor
The national road passes the town on its way over the mountains, a long curving line that links the valley to Cape Town.
