Old town lanes
At the centre the streets are narrow and irregular, forming a dense knot of short lines that contrasts with the open ground all around the town.

Hungund Map Poster & Print
Hungund lies in Bagalkot district in northern Karnataka, on the broad, dry plateau of the Deccan. From above, the town is a dense core of irregular lanes surrounded by long field boundaries and scattered outcrops of rock. Main roads leave in several directions, and newer building has spread along them, so the outline looks more like a star than a circle.
The town gives its name to a taluk that also contains the temple village of Aihole, famous for its early Chalukya stone temples, and the historic sites of Pattadakal and Badami are not far off. Hungund itself is a working market town, but the region is one of the most important in India for the history of temple architecture.
A Hungund map poster shows how a compact old centre, a highway corridor and the pattern of surrounding fields fit together. The linework is modest and clear, with tight lanes at the centre loosening into wide agricultural blocks, which makes it a quiet, readable print for anyone with roots in this corner of Karnataka.

Highway spine
A main road passes by the town and draws newer development along its length, giving the map a strong line that runs across the whole composition.
Deccan farmland
Beyond the built-up area, long field boundaries and dirt tracks divide the plateau into large, irregular plots, a texture typical of northern Karnataka.
