Railway edge
The railway runs past the town in a long, steady line. It makes a clean, straight stroke that frames the looser street network next to it and explains why the town grew where it did.

Kostopil Map Poster & Print
Kostopil sits in the north of Rivne Oblast, where the farmland of Volhynia starts giving way to the forests of Polesia. Seen from above, the town is a tight cluster of streets set around a small river, with a railway line running along one side. Around it are dark patches of woodland and long, thin strips of field.
The town's layout reflects a century of changing borders. Between the wars it belonged to Poland as Kostopol. Later it grew as a Soviet-era district centre, and apartment blocks were added beside the older low houses on their garden plots. On the map this shows as a mix of short, irregular blocks and a few longer, straighter roads heading out of town towards neighbouring villages.
A Kostopil map poster works best at a scale that keeps both the town and its surroundings in the frame. The streets thin out quickly into the fields and forest, and it is that contrast between the dense centre and the open countryside that gives the print its character.

River through town
A small river crosses the settlement. Its banks break up the grid, and roads bend around the water. The result is a soft curve through the middle of the map.
Forest margins
Beyond the last houses the map opens into woodland and field boundaries. That wide, quiet margin is typical of this stretch of northwestern Ukraine.

Neden Kostopil
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
For people who grew up in Kostopil, or whose families came from the area, the plan of the town can mean more than a photograph. Individual streets, the station and the way out to the forest are all recognisable, even with every detail reduced to line.
You can change the title and subtitle, for example to an old Polish name or a family year, and adjust the coordinates line. Then pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
