The built-up centre forms a small, dense knot of streets. It is easy to read at a glance, and open, rising ground frames it on every side.

La Iguala Map Poster & Print
La Iguala lies in the Lempira Department of western Honduras, a region of steep ridges, coffee plots and pine forest a short distance east of the departmental capital, Gracias. From above, the town appears as a compact core of blocks. Its streets soon loosen into lanes and then into rural roads that follow the contours of the land. Much of the surrounding map is open country, which gives the town centre a clear, concentrated shape.
Because the terrain is so uneven, the road network does not spread evenly in every direction. Routes bend around slopes, cross streams and link scattered villages across the wider municipality, so the lines on the page look as if the landscape drew them. In black and white, those curving connections contrast with the tighter geometry of the town streets, and the whole composition gains a quiet sense of movement.
A La Iguala map poster records a place that rarely appears in atlases at this level of detail. It suits someone who grew up in the municipality, family members living abroad who want a piece of home on the wall, or anyone who has travelled through the Honduran highlands and remembers these roads. The coordinates line ties the print to its exact spot on the map.

Contour-led roads
Outside the centre, roads follow the lie of the land rather than a grid, curving along ridges and down into valleys toward neighbouring settlements in the municipality.
Lempira highlands
The municipality lies in one of the most rugged parts of Honduras, where coffee growing and pine forest shape the countryside that surrounds the town on the map.

Neden La Iguala
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
People hang a map of La Iguala because it holds something personal: a childhood street, a family house, the road taken home after years away. The fine linework keeps it understated, so it sits easily in a living room or hallway without feeling like a souvenir.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps a family name or a date that matters, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a matte print, framed if you like.
