Loughborough Map Poster & Print
Loughborough sits in the Soar valley in northern Leicestershire, and its map is organised by a handful of strong lines. The River Soar and the Loughborough Navigation run along the eastern side of town, the Midland Main Line cuts north to south, and the older market centre lies west of them, with streets converging on the market place. Further west, the pattern opens out into the university grounds.
Loughborough University occupies one of the largest single-site campuses in the country, a landscape of halls, sports fields and tracks that reads on paper as a broad field of open space and curving paths. The university's strength in sport is well known, and its playing fields and athletics facilities are clearly visible from above as a series of neat rectangles and ovals.
The town has a long industrial past, including the Taylor bell foundry, one of the last major bell foundries in Britain, and the Great Central Railway, a preserved heritage line running south toward Leicester. Queen's Park, home to the Carillon war memorial tower, adds a green block near the centre. A Loughborough map poster brings these pieces together in one clear composition.

Soar and canal
The River Soar and the Loughborough Navigation trace the eastern edge of town, a pair of watery lines through meadows that frame the map.
Heritage railway
The Great Central Railway runs south from its Loughborough station toward Leicester, a preserved steam line whose track adds a long, deliberate line across the poster.
