Edge of Paris
The town touches the southern boundary of Paris, so its streets run straight into the city's grid. On the map you can barely tell where one ends and the other begins.

Malakoff Map Poster & Print
Malakoff sits just beyond the southern edge of Paris, pressed against the 14th arrondissement and bordered by Vanves, Montrouge and Châtillon. From above it is small and tightly built, with no empty ground. Short residential streets, small blocks and courtyards fill almost its whole area, and the boulevard périphérique runs a short distance to the north.
The town's name comes from the Crimean War. In the mid-nineteenth century a local developer built a tower here and named it after the Malakoff fortification at Sevastopol, and the district took the name. Malakoff became a separate commune in 1883, when it split from Vanves. Its street plan still reflects that period of quick suburban building.
A Malakoff map poster shows how a Paris inner suburb fits together. Metro line 13 crosses the town, with stations whose names carry Malakoff's own, and the main railway out of Montparnasse forms a firm line on the plan. In black and white, the dense street pattern reads as fine texture that changes only a little at the town's edges.

Metro line 13
Line 13 runs through Malakoff on its way out of Paris, with two stations named after the town. The line gives the poster a clear north–south axis through the dense blocks.
Fine-grained blocks
Malakoff has no big parks or wide avenues. Its map is made of small plots, short streets and courtyards, which print as a close, even pattern at every size.

Malakoff suits people who live or work in the Paris inner ring and know it street by street. Its compact outline and dense streets frame well, and the town is small enough that a single sheet can show all of it clearly.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a moving-in date or a street name. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
