Campidanese blocks
The older centre is built from deep blocks of courtyard houses, so the streets form long, straight corridors with few gaps, a pattern shared by many towns across the plain.

Monserrato Map Poster & Print
Monserrato sits just north of Cagliari, on the flat southern end of the Campidano plain. From above it is a compact grid of low blocks, with straight streets running between courtyard houses in the traditional Campidanese pattern. To one side, the large footprint of the university campus and hospital breaks the rhythm with broad buildings, car parks and access roads.
The town has an unusual administrative history. For several decades in the twentieth century it was absorbed into the city of Cagliari, and it regained its independence as a separate municipality only in 1991. Today it forms part of the continuous urban area around the Sardinian capital, yet its street pattern still reads as a town of its own.
A Monserrato map poster captures that dual character: the tight rural grid of an old agricultural centre and the larger-scale planning of the metropolitan era, set against the open fields that still reach toward it from the north. The contrast between those textures gives the print its structure.

University campus
The University of Cagliari's campus and teaching hospital occupy a large, loosely planned area whose big footprints stand out clearly against the finer residential grain.
Edge of the plain
To the north the built-up area gives way to the Campidano, and the map shows the change from dense streets to a looser network of rural roads and fields.

Neden Monserrato
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Monserrato means different things to different people: a family home, a student years address, the hospital where someone was born. A map holds all of those at once without needing to explain them, which is why it makes a thoughtful gift.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, a date or a line of your own, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
