Town grid
The core is laid out in regular rectangular blocks, a pattern common to Western Cape country towns. It reads neatly in black and white, with the main streets clearly defined.

Moorreesburg Map Poster & Print
Moorreesburg is a farming town in the Swartland, the broad wheat-growing district north of Cape Town. Its streets form a tidy grid of blocks set on gently rolling ground, with a church and main street at the centre. On a map the town is compact and sharply bounded, the built area ending abruptly where the cultivated fields begin.
The N7 highway, the main road from Cape Town up the West Coast towards Namibia, passes along the edge of town and gives the map a long diagonal. Beyond it, farm roads and field boundaries cut the landscape into large, irregular parcels. In winter the surrounding land turns green with grain; from above the pattern of fields is visible in any season.
The town takes its name from a Dutch Reformed minister, and its identity has long been tied to wheat. A Moorreesburg map poster shows that relationship clearly: a small orderly grid at the centre and, around it, the wide agricultural geometry of the Swartland, drawn with the same fine line as the streets.

N7 highway
The national road to the West Coast and Namibia runs past the town, a long line that crosses the frame and connects Moorreesburg to the wider region.
Wheatland field lines
Around the town, farm boundaries and gravel roads divide the land into broad parcels. At larger scales this agricultural pattern becomes the main texture of the poster.
