The through road
The national route between Khenifra and Azrou passes straight through Mrirt and forms the town's backbone. It is the strongest line in the composition.

Mrirt Map Poster & Print
Mrirt lies in the Middle Atlas of Morocco, in the Khenifra area of the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region. It sits on the national road linking Khenifra with Azrou and the north, and that route gives the town its basic shape: a main axis running through, with the settlement spread out on either side.
The setting is high, open country of plateaus, pasture and low hills, with cedar forests and mountain ranges further off. From above, the street pattern is fairly compact and regular in its newer parts, with a denser, more irregular fabric near the older centre and the market area.
A Mrirt map poster shows a highland town defined by its road and its landscape. The streets form a clear, contained shape, and the empty land around them conveys the scale of the plateau. It is a spare, graphic composition in which the space around the town carries as much weight as the streets.

Compact street grid
Newer quarters follow a fairly regular block layout that contrasts with the more irregular lanes near the centre. The print has two distinct textures.
Open plateau
Around the town, the map opens onto broad highland terrain. The generous empty space around the streets gives the print a calm, airy balance.
