Nāmrup Map Poster
Nāmrup is in the Dibrugarh district of upper Assam, in the far northeast of India near the foothills that lead up to the Patkai range. It is best known for its industry: a large fertilizer complex, among the first in India to use natural gas as feedstock, and a thermal power station. Both grew up around the region's gas fields.
This history is clear on the map. Large plant sites show up as dense geometric blocks. Planned residential townships built for workers have regular, orderly streets. Around them, tea gardens and villages spread across the plain, crossed by winding roads and small rivers. The contrast between planned industrial layout and rural surroundings gives the map real structure.
A Nāmrup map poster appeals to people who grew up in company townships, families of plant workers, and anyone attached to this corner of Assam. In black and white, the orderly quarters and tea garden tracks sit side by side, a picture of how industry and agriculture share the land.

Township streets
Housing colonies built for plant staff follow planned, regular layouts with neat rows of streets, quite unlike the irregular villages around them.
Tea country
Tea estates and rural settlements spread across the surrounding plain, crossed by roads and streams that give the edges of the poster a gentle texture.

Neden Nāmrup
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Many people remember Nāmrup as the township where they grew up, went to school or started a career. A map of its streets and colonies is a strong reminder of that shared life, especially for those who have since moved far away.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, perhaps with a colony name or the years you spent there. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as an HD download or a print.
