Neiva Map Poster & Print
Neiva, the capital of Huila department, lies in the upper valley of the Magdalena River in southern Colombia. From above, the river runs along the western side of the city, and a regular grid of streets and blocks extends east from its banks. Smaller streams come down from the hills and cross the urban fabric, leaving green lines through the neighbourhoods.
The valley is hot and fairly dry. To the north lies the Tatacoa Desert, an area of eroded red and grey formations that is popular for stargazing. Each year the city hosts the Festival Folclórico y Reinado Nacional del Bambuco, around the feast of San Pedro, which brings music, parades and dance to the streets.
A Neiva map poster shows a clear, legible city. The Magdalena gives it a strong western edge, the Spanish-American grid gives the centre its order and the streams and ridges shape the more irregular districts toward the east. It prints well at every size and holds together as a clean, balanced composition.

Central grid
The historic centre follows a regular pattern of square blocks around the main plazas. It is the most orderly part of the city and reads crisply in line work.
Hillside streams
Small waterways run down from the eastern hills toward the Magdalena. They draw green corridors through the neighbourhoods and interrupt the grid.

Neden Neiva
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Neiva matters to people from Huila, to anyone who has joined the San Pedro festivities and to travellers who came through on the way to Tatacoa. The map keeps a clear picture of the city by the river.
Add a family name, a date or the coordinates of a home to the title lines. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand matches the warm valley.
