Each district occupies its own ridge or slope, with streets looping around it. Between them, blank spaces mark the valleys and wooded slopes that separate one area from the next.

Nesher Map Poster & Print
Nesher lies southeast of Haifa on the slopes of Mount Carmel, where the ridge descends toward the valleys and the Haifa Bay area. Its neighbourhoods sit on separate spurs and hilltops, divided by deep, wooded wadis. From above, the streets appear as tight curves and loops that follow the contours, with long green gaps between districts where the terrain is too steep to build on.
The town took its name from the Nesher cement works, founded here in the 1920s. Nesher is the Hebrew word for eagle, or more precisely for the griffon vulture. The factory's quarries cut into the mountainside, and the town grew up around the works before becoming a residential community with close ties to Haifa.
A Nesher map poster captures a place defined by topography. Instead of a grid, it shows clusters of winding streets separated by ravines and hillsides, with major roads threading between them. The result is an intricate, balanced print that reflects the character of the Carmel landscape.

Carmel wadis
Steep, green ravines cut through the town and show on the map as open gaps crossed by only a few roads. In one local park, pedestrian suspension bridges span a wadi.
Roads to Haifa
Main routes wind down the slopes toward Haifa and the bay. They form the few long, continuous lines that tie the town's scattered neighbourhoods together.
