Nettetal Map Poster & Print
Nettetal is a town made of several towns. It was formed in 1970 by joining Lobberich, Kaldenkirchen, Breyell, Hinsbeck, Leuth and Schaag, and on a map it still looks that way: a group of separate centres, each with its own compact street pattern, linked by roads through fields and woodland on the western edge of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The town takes its name from the Nette, a small river that runs through it and feeds a chain of lakes, including the Krickenbeck lakes, many of which formed in old peat workings. Much of this landscape belongs to a cross-border nature park shared with the Netherlands, and the Dutch city of Venlo lies just beyond the western boundary.
A Nettetal map poster captures this unusual structure. Instead of one dense centre, it shows a scattering of villages, soft green gaps and a line of lakes threading between them. In black and white, the lakes become clear, rounded shapes, and the town's shape reads as a quiet map of connected communities rather than a single city.

Several town centres
Lobberich, Kaldenkirchen, Breyell and the other former villages each keep a compact core, so the map shows a group of centres instead of one.
Border edge
Kaldenkirchen and Leuth sit close to the Dutch border near Venlo, where the road network continues across the frontier into the Netherlands.

Neden Nettetal
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
People in Nettetal often identify with one district first and the whole town second. This map honours both, showing every centre and the lakes between them, and makes a fine gift for someone from Lobberich, Breyell or Kaldenkirchen.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with the name of your own district, and add a coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the $9 files or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
