Ridgetop settlement
Following a long Mizo tradition, houses and streets line the crests of the hills, so the built area on the map forms narrow bands rather than a round centre.

Ngūr Map Poster & Print
Ngūr is a town in Mizoram, the hill state in India's far northeast that borders Myanmar and Bangladesh. The landscape here is made of long parallel ridges running roughly north to south, separated by steep valleys, and that terrain determines every line on the map. Settlements in Mizoram traditionally occupy the ridgetops, so houses and streets gather along the high ground rather than in the valleys below.
Seen from above, this produces a very particular drawing. Roads bend back and forth in switchbacks as they climb, then follow the crest in long, sinuous lines. Side lanes drop steeply off the main road, and buildings step down the slopes in narrow terraces. Much of the surrounding land is forest or cultivated hillside, leaving large open areas where the map is almost blank.
A Ngūr map poster keeps the character of a hill town: winding, linear, and shaped by gradient rather than by a planner's grid. In black and white the curves become the subject, loops and hairpins set against empty space. It suits anyone with roots in Mizoram, or anyone who likes maps where the land itself is clearly writing the streets.

Switchback roads
Where roads climb from the valleys they fold into tight bends and hairpins, drawing looping curves that are among the most striking shapes on the poster.
Forested slopes
Between the ridges, steep wooded valleys leave wide areas free of streets, giving the composition generous empty space and a strong sense of the terrain beneath it.
