Ochtrup Map Poster & Print
Ochtrup lies in the north-western Münsterland, only a short distance from the border with the Netherlands. The landscape around it is typically Münsterland: flat to gently rolling, scattered with isolated farmsteads, small woods and hedged fields. From above, the town forms a compact core with residential areas spreading out in several directions.
The town is known for a long pottery tradition, still remembered in a local museum, and more recently for a large designer outlet centre that draws shoppers from both sides of the border. The older centre around the parish church keeps a tighter, more irregular street pattern than the planned neighbourhoods further out.
An Ochtrup map poster shows how the town gathers around its historic middle while the countryside presses close on every side. Railway lines and roads leading towards Gronau, Steinfurt and the Dutch border add strong lines across the frame, framing a small town with a clear sense of place.

Münsterland countryside
Farmsteads, small woods and field boundaries surround the town, giving the outer edges of the poster a fine, scattered texture rather than hard suburban edges.
Routes to the border
Roads and railway lines leave Ochtrup in several directions, including towards the Netherlands, forming bold lines that organise the whole composition.
