Hillside layout
The estate is built on rising ground, so its internal roads curve and switch back instead of running straight. This gives the map softer lines than the surrounding streets.

Oi Man Estate Map Poster & Print
Oi Man Estate is a public housing estate in Ho Man Tin, in Kowloon City district. On a map it looks quite unlike the tight street grids of older Kowloon. Tall residential blocks stand on raised, sloping ground and are linked by internal roads, footpaths and open courtyards that loop around the hillside.
Busy city roads surround the estate, and denser neighbourhoods press against its edges. That contrast defines its footprint. Inside the boundary, buildings sit at angles to one another with space between them. Outside it, the surrounding districts fill almost every block, so the estate reads as a distinct, self-contained piece of the city.
An Oi Man Estate map poster suits people who measure home by a block number and a lift lobby, not a street address. The drawing traces the estate's curving access roads and the way it sits on its hill. It captures a very specific corner of Hong Kong at a scale where each building's place is clear.

Spaced residential blocks
Individual towers stand apart with courtyards and paths between them. From above they form a pattern of separate footprints, not continuous street frontage.
Dense city edges
Tightly packed Kowloon neighbourhoods surround the estate. The contrast between open estate grounds and crowded blocks outside is the most striking feature of the poster.

Anlam taşıyan bir harita
For people who grew up in Oi Man Estate or raised a family there, the estate is a whole world of its own. A map of it records a childhood or a home in a way a skyline photo cannot.
You can add a title such as a block name, a subtitle and a date, and choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir works especially well for the dense Kowloon setting.
