Peabody Map Poster & Print
Peabody sits in Essex County, Massachusetts, just inland from Salem. On a map it has an unusual outline: a long strip of land running east to west, pinched in the middle, with the older downtown at the eastern end and the more suburban West Peabody at the other. Route 128 and Interstate 95 cut through, marking the city with long, confident curves.
The town was once part of Danvers and took its current name in 1868 in honour of George Peabody, the philanthropist born there. For much of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries tanneries were the main industry, and Peabody was widely known as the Leather City. Downtown's irregular streets still show the old, pre-grid growth around the square.
A Peabody map poster traces all of that in a single frame: the tight older blocks near Salem, the highway interchanges, the curving cul-de-sacs of the west side, and the ponds and wooded patches between them. It's a New England city that you read from east to west, with the history on one end and postwar suburbs on the other.

Route 128 corridor
The circumferential highway sweeps across the city in a broad arc, with interchanges that form some of the strongest shapes on the map.
West Peabody ponds
Toward the western end, residential loops wrap around ponds and patches of woodland, giving that half of the city a softer texture.

Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Peabody is a place people come back to: families who have been there for generations, and newcomers who moved to the North Shore for a quieter street. A map poster captures the particular part of the long city that they call home.
Add a street name, a moving-in date or the coordinates of a first house on the title lines, then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9 and come in six print sizes.
