Poonamalle Map Poster & Print
Poonamalle sits on the western edge of the Chennai metropolitan area, where the city begins to spread along the main highway toward Bengaluru. On a map the highway is the defining line, running east to west through the town. An older core of narrow, irregular streets clusters beside it, and newer residential layouts fill the land on either side.
The town has long been a stop on the road inland from the coast, and it has grown quickly as Chennai has expanded outward. The surrounding land is flat and dotted with lakes and water tanks, including reservoirs that supply the city. A new metro line is also being built to link Poonamalle with central Chennai, a sign of how closely it is now tied to the wider city.
A Poonamalle map poster captures a place in transition, where an old settlement and a modern suburb share the same ground. The highway gives the composition a strong axis, the older streets appear as a fine, dense cluster, and the lakes form calm, open shapes. It suits anyone who has lived, studied or worked here while the town changed.

Old town streets
Near the highway lies a compact cluster of older, narrow streets with temples and markets. Their dense texture contrasts with the regular plots around them.
Lakes and tanks
Water tanks and lakes surround the town on the flat ground west of Chennai. They appear as broad pale shapes that give the map its open, spacious edges.
