Kennebecasis River
The wide river forms the town's southern edge. It is drawn as a broad, smooth expanse with islands that give the composition space and calm.

Quispamsis Map Poster & Print
Quispamsis lies along the north shore of the Kennebecasis River, just north-east of Saint John in southern New Brunswick. Together with neighbouring Rothesay, it forms the Kennebecasis Valley, a largely residential area that grew quickly in the second half of the twentieth century. The name comes from the Wolastoqey language and is often translated as little lake in the woods.
From above, Quispamsis looks very different from an old grid town. Its streets curve and loop through wooded land, with crescents, cul-de-sacs and quiet subdivisions arranged around lakes, parks and school grounds. Highways and main roads tie these neighbourhoods together and lead west towards Saint John and the Bay of Fundy.
A Quispamsis map poster sets the flowing lines of the suburban streets against the broad, calm Kennebecasis River. Here the river widens into a long, lake-like stretch with wooded islands. Along the shore, waterfront parks and boat launches show how closely the town is tied to the water.

Looping subdivisions
Crescents, loops and cul-de-sacs make up most of the street pattern. In black and white they form organic, almost botanical shapes.
Woodland and lakes
Pockets of forest, ponds and parks sit between neighbourhoods. These open spaces break up the streets and echo the meaning of the town's name.
