Town grid
The town centre follows a regular block pattern on flat ground. It gives the map a clear, orderly heart that contrasts with the open land around it.

Sabana de Torres Map Poster & Print
Sabana de Torres sits in the Magdalena Medio region of Santander, on the flat, warm lowlands east of the Magdalena River. The mountain towns of the Andes are built on slopes, but this one is laid out on level ground. From above, its centre is a regular pattern of blocks among pastures, plantations and scattered low-lying land.
The municipality's economy has long depended on cattle, farming and oil palm, as well as the oil industry that shapes this part of Colombia. On a map, this shows up as long straight roads leading out into farmland, with streams and marshy ground adding irregular shapes between the fields.
A Sabana de Torres map poster brings out the clarity of a lowland town: the tidy grid of the centre, the roads running out toward the countryside, and the soft outlines of water around it. It suits people from the town and those who spent working years in the region, wherever they live now.

Rural roads
Straight roads run out from town across pasture and plantations. On the map they form long lines connecting the municipality to the wider Magdalena Medio.
Streams and low ground
The lowlands around town are crossed by streams and patches of marshy ground. These appear as irregular shapes that soften the straight lines of fields and roads.
