Santee Map Poster & Print
Santee sits in eastern San Diego County, in a broad valley crossed by the San Diego River. On a map the river corridor runs through the middle of town as a wide, soft band of green, and neighbourhoods of curving suburban streets and cul-de-sacs spread out on either side and climb into the surrounding hills.
To the west, Mission Trails Regional Park provides a large open area of hills and chaparral between Santee and the city of San Diego. In the north of town, the Santee Lakes form a chain of small ponds fed by recycled water, a popular spot for camping and fishing. State Routes 52 and 67 carry traffic across the valley.
A Santee map poster shows typical Southern California suburban patterns, loops and cul-de-sacs, contained by strong natural edges: the river, the lakes and the open hills. The contrast between winding residential streets and empty high ground makes a clean, well-balanced composition.

Santee Lakes
A chain of small lakes on the north side of town forms a string of water shapes, one of the most distinctive details on the poster.
Mission Trails edge
Open hills of Mission Trails Regional Park border Santee to the west, where the streets stop abruptly against a large area of empty land.
