Santiago Tlacotepec Map Poster & Print
Santiago Tlacotepec lies in the municipality of Toluca in the State of Mexico. It sits on the high plateau south of the city, on land that rises gradually toward the Nevado de Toluca volcano. On the map the town appears as a loose grid of streets, denser at the centre and breaking up at the edges into plots and farmland.
As with many communities around Toluca, the town has old roots and a traditional centre around a church and square. It is also increasingly tied to the growing metropolitan area to the north. Roads link it to the city and to neighbouring villages, and urban development is gradually filling the land between them.
A Santiago Tlacotepec map poster shows a place in transition. There is the settled grid of a highland pueblo, with its streets and lots, and the long straight roads connecting it to Toluca. All around it lies a patchwork of fields that climb toward the mountain. The map has a clear centre and edges that are softening.

Roads toward Toluca
Straight roads lead north toward the city and link it to neighbouring communities. They are strong directional lines across the map.
Fields on the slopes
Farmland surrounds the town and rises toward the Nevado de Toluca. On the poster it becomes open space broken by paths and plot boundaries.
