Roads shaped by hills
Streets and highways follow valleys and wind around ridges instead of running straight. This gives the poster a flowing, contour-like quality typical of Chongqing's terrain.

Shichuan Map Poster & Print
Shichuan lies within the municipality of Chongqing, in the hilly terrain of south-western China where flat land is scarce. The ground shapes its streets on the map. Main roads run along valleys and curve around rises, and buildings gather wherever the slope allows, which produces an irregular outline rather than a neat, compact block.
The Chongqing countryside is a patchwork of hills, terraced fields, ponds and scattered villages, and that pattern reaches right up to the town's edges. Newer residential compounds and wider roads mark recent growth, while older streets tend to be narrower and more closely built. The map shows these two scales of development side by side.
A Shichuan map poster renders all of this in fine black lines. The roads trace the contours, the denser centre gives the composition weight, and the surrounding countryside leaves room to breathe. This is a place most people would never see on a printed map, which makes the portrait especially meaningful for anyone who calls it home.

Two scales of growth
Fine-grained older streets sit beside larger blocks of newer development. In black and white the contrast shows clearly as fine texture next to broad shapes.
Terraced countryside
Beyond the town the land breaks up into small fields, water and scattered hamlets, so the built area is surrounded by a quiet, fragmented landscape.

Neden Shichuan
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Shichuan is the kind of place that rarely appears on posters, and that is exactly why a map of it can mean so much. For people who grew up there and now live in a big city or abroad, it is a precise, personal reminder of home.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download includes six sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF, with no watermark on the purchased files.
