Tejupilco de Hidalgo Map Poster & Print
Tejupilco de Hidalgo is the seat of Tejupilco municipality, in the southwest of the State of Mexico. The town sits in mountainous country that descends toward the warm lowlands of the Tierra Caliente. From above, the centre follows a Spanish-influenced layout of blocks around a central square, but the terrain quickly bends that order out of shape.
Away from the centre, streets curve with the hillsides, climb in switchbacks and end at ravines. Roads out of town follow ridges and valleys, linking Tejupilco with Toluca to the northeast and with smaller communities to the south and west. The land around it is a mix of steep slopes, small farms and scattered settlements.
A Tejupilco de Hidalgo map poster shows a regular colonial-style core surrounded by irregular streets shaped by the mountains. The contrast between the square blocks at the centre and the looping roads at the edges gives the print movement, and the open hillsides around the town provide a calm frame for the drawing.

Beyond the core, streets curve and switch back across slopes, drawing the relief of the land directly into the map.
Roads through mountains
Highways leading away from town follow the ridges and valleys, bending through the terrain toward Toluca and the lowlands to the south.
