Tēpī Map Poster & Print
Tēpī is a town in south-western Ethiopia, in one of the wettest and most forested parts of the country. It lies lower than much of the Ethiopian highlands, in hilly terrain covered by forest, farms and plantations. From above, the town appears as a loose network of streets gathered along the main road, with neighbourhoods spreading into the surrounding green wherever the ground allows.
The area is closely tied to coffee. Ethiopia is the homeland of arabica coffee, and the forests of the south-west still hold wild coffee plants. Near Tēpī lies a large, long-established coffee plantation that has been one of the country's notable producers, and the crop shapes much of the local economy and the rhythm of the year.
Streams and small rivers cut through the landscape, and the street pattern bends around them rather than forming a strict grid. A Tēpī map poster keeps the result simple: a town growing along a road through forested hills, drawn in a few confident lines. It is an unusual subject, which makes it all the more personal for anyone who knows the place.

Organic street network
Side streets follow the terrain instead of a grid, branching and curving around slopes and watercourses in a pattern that looks almost drawn by hand.
Forest margins
Around the town the map opens into wide country of forest and farmland, leaving generous empty space that frames the settlement at the centre.

Neden Tēpī
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Tēpī is home to many families of the South West region, and it matters to people who worked in coffee, studied at the university campus or served in the area. A map is a simple way to honour that connection, especially far from the town itself.
Write the town name in the title, add a subtitle and edit the coordinates line, then pick from five styles including Classic black & white and Paper. The free 900 px preview shows the result before you buy the $9 HD download or a printed matte poster.
