Compact market core
The centre of Trāl is a close cluster of lanes and small blocks. It is drawn darker than everything around it and is easy to pick out as the town's focal point.

Trāl Map Poster & Print
Trāl lies in Pulwama district on the eastern side of the Kashmir Valley, where flat farmland starts to rise toward forested ridges. On a map the town is a tight knot of lanes around its market. Roads branch out from it toward the surrounding villages and the hills. Small streams run down from the higher ground and wind between the fields, adding fine, wandering lines to the drawing.
Much of the land around the town is orchards and farmed plots, so the built-up area stays compact and clearly outlined. Beyond it, terraces and tracks follow the ground and mark where the valley turns into slope. The result is a map with a dense centre and a quiet, open surround, which works well in black and white.
A Trāl map poster keeps that balance: the weight of the town core, the fine lines of streams and field roads, and the mountains close in at the edges. It is a modest subject, but it has a clear shape, and many people with family ties to the area recognise it at once.

Streams from the hills
Watercourses come down from the higher ground to the east and cross the farmland in thin, irregular lines that stand out against the straighter roads.
Valley meets mountain
The map shows the edge where the flat floor of the Kashmir Valley gives way to rising, forested ground, with roads bending as they climb.
