Gratte-Ciel axis
The 1930s skyscraper district forms a straight, symmetrical avenue at the heart of the city. It is one of the most deliberate pieces of planning on the map.

Villeurbanne Map Poster & Print
Villeurbanne sits directly east of Lyon and is so closely joined to it that the boundary is hard to see on a map. The streets simply continue from one city into the other. To the north, the Rhône and the Canal de Jonage frame the city with water, and Lyon's Parc de la Tête d'Or lies just across the border to the west.
The city's best-known district is the Gratte-Ciel, built in the 1930s as an ambitious new centre, with tall residential towers lining a broad avenue that leads to the town hall. It was an unusual project for a French city of this size, and it still stands out today. From above, its straight, formal axis cuts cleanly through the surrounding mix of older streets.
In the north, the La Doua campus, home to INSA Lyon and part of Université Claude Bernard, forms a large area of open ground and buildings near the river. Villeurbanne is also home to the Théâtre National Populaire. A Villeurbanne map poster shows a city often overlooked beside its neighbour, yet with a clear and distinctive plan of its own.

La Doua campus
The university campus fills a wide area in the north. Its open spaces and large buildings stand out from the tight residential grid around it.
Rhône and canal
The Rhône and the Canal de Jonage trace the northern edge of the city and give the poster a clear line of water along one side.

Neden Villeurbanne
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Villeurbanne matters to the students who passed through La Doua, to families who have lived in its neighbourhoods for generations, and to anyone who knows that Lyon does not end at its own border. The map gives the city a frame of its own.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a graduation year or a street you lived on, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits a city built around a bold 1930s plan.
