Vordingborg Map Poster & Print
Vordingborg lies at the southern tip of Zealand in Denmark, where the land meets the narrow waters of Storstrømmen. On a map, the coastline is decisive. The town sits on a bay, the island of Masnedø lies just offshore, and long bridges stretch south across the strait towards Falster and the rest of southern Denmark.
In the Middle Ages this was one of the most important royal strongholds in the kingdom, and the ruins of Vordingborg Castle still mark the waterfront. Its surviving Goose Tower is one of the best-preserved medieval structures in Denmark. The old town spreads north of the ruins in a compact pattern of streets, with the harbour and railway at its edge.
A Vordingborg map poster combines water, castle and bridge in a single frame: the green outline of the ruins, the harbour basin and the strait crossings to the south. In black and white, the long lines of the bridges over open water make a particularly elegant composition.

Strait crossings
Bridges run south via Masnedø towards Falster, long straight lines over open water that give the map its most striking feature.
Harbour bay
The town faces a sheltered bay, whose shoreline gives Vordingborg a clear coastal edge and a small working harbour.
