Lakes in town
Several lakes lie within and beside the built-up area, their outlines forming large open shapes that the streets curve around rather than cross.

Wałcz Map Poster & Print
Wałcz lies in the lake country of northern Poland, in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, and its map is shaped as much by water as by streets. The town spreads between several lakes, including Raduń and Zamkowe, so neighbourhoods follow shorelines and roads bend around the water. Forests extend beyond the outskirts in almost every direction.
Wałcz is known for a major Olympic training centre used by Polish rowers, canoeists and other athletes, which makes full use of the surrounding lakes. The region was also crossed by the Pomeranian Wall, a line of German fortifications from the 1930s whose bunkers still lie in the nearby forests and attract visitors interested in military history.
A Wałcz map poster turns the town into a study of edges: shorelines, forest boundaries and the lines of streets fitted between them. The lakes create large calm shapes within the frame, and the built area wraps around them in a way that feels natural rather than planned. It is a map with a lot of breathing space.

Training centre shore
The Olympic sports centre on the lakeshore adds sports fields and waterfront facilities, a distinctive cluster of shapes at the edge of the town.
Forest margins
Woodland surrounds Wałcz on most sides, so the map fades from dense streets to scattered tracks, a clear and quiet border around the town.
