Wassenberg Map Poster & Print
Wassenberg sits in the Heinsberg district of North Rhine-Westphalia, on a ridge above the Rur valley and only a short distance from the Netherlands. The historic center crowns the high ground, and its streets curve around the castle hill and the remaining sections of the old town fortifications.
From above, the contrast is clear: a small, dense, medieval core on the height, and newer districts spreading downhill toward the valley floor and the Rur. A Wassenberg map poster shows the terraced layout, with roads descending in curves from the old town.
To the west, the forests and heaths of the Meinweg area continue across the border into the Netherlands. These woodlands create broad, quiet spaces on the map, framing the town and highlighting its detailed old center.

Medieval core
The historic town, with remains of its walls and gates, forms a dense knot of short, irregular streets on the ridge above the valley.
Border woodlands
Forests stretch west toward the Dutch border. On the poster they create a wide, calm area that sets off the busier streets of the town.
