Ridge settlement
The town follows the high ground, with its densest streets gathered where the slope eases, forming a long irregular shape across the hills.

Zunheboto Map Poster & Print
Zunheboto is the headquarters of Zunheboto district in Nagaland, and a principal town of the Sumi Naga people. It is built high on a ridge, and its map reflects the steep terrain: roads trace the contours of the hillside in long curves, with buildings clustered along them and on the more level ground near the crest.
There is no grid here. Streets fork, loop and double back as they climb, and short connecting paths link different levels of the town. From above, the pattern resembles branches spreading across a slope, dense along the main road and thinning quickly where the hillside becomes too steep to build on.
Around the town, forested hills and small cultivated areas fill the map, and roads lead away along the ridges to villages across the rest of the district. A Zunheboto map poster presents a hill town in its true form, where every line on the page is shaped by the land beneath it.

Winding roads
Roads curve and switch back as they move up and down the hillside, creating flowing lines that give the map its distinctive, organic look.
Forested surroundings
Steep wooded hills surround the town and fill the edges of the poster, leaving open space that sets off the compact network of streets.
