Burnham Park
The city's central park forms a clear open shape in the middle of downtown, with a small lake and the surrounding blocks arranged around it, close to how the early plan intended.

Seen from above, Baguio is nothing like the flat grids of the Philippine lowlands. It sits high in the Cordillera, and its roads do what the terrain allows. They coil along ridgelines, drop into ravines and loop back on themselves. The result is a plan made almost entirely of curves, with small neighbourhoods clustered on whatever level ground each hillside offers.
At the centre is Burnham Park, named after the American planner Daniel Burnham, who drew up the early town plan in the 1900s. Around it the downtown is slightly more regular. Session Road climbs away from it as the main commercial spine. Further out, the larger green areas of Camp John Hay and the scattered parks show where the pine forest still holds its ground among the houses.
Baguio has long been called the Summer Capital of the Philippines, because its altitude keeps it much cooler than Manila. On a Baguio map poster this highland character comes through in the line work. The switchbacks, the looping access roads and the dense clusters on the slopes read as a contour drawing, a record of a city shaped by mountains rather than laid over them.
The city's central park forms a clear open shape in the middle of downtown, with a small lake and the surrounding blocks arranged around it, close to how the early plan intended.
The main commercial street climbs out of the lower downtown. It is one of the few relatively straight lines in a street network otherwise defined by the curves of the hills.
The mountain roads leading into the city wind through tight bends and doubled-back curves. At poster scale they turn into sinuous lines that show how steep the climb is.

Kaia a Baguio
People who studied, honeymooned or spent cool summers in Baguio often want a reminder that shows more than pine trees in a photograph. The winding plan is instantly recognisable to anyone who has ridden a jeepney up and down its slopes.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a year or a family name. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper and Sand suit the softness of the hill roads especially well.
