Capelinha Map Poster & Print
Capelinha sits in the north-east of Minas Gerais, on high ground at the edge of the Jequitinhonha valley region. On the map the town looks like a set of streets laid over rolling terrain. It has a central core with a main church and square, and neighbourhoods extend along ridges and down gentle slopes in several directions, giving it an irregular, branching outline.
The municipality is known for coffee grown on the surrounding plateaus, and large eucalyptus plantations are common in the landscape. Both are visible from above. They divide the countryside into large, orderly blocks that contrast with the finer texture of the town's streets and the natural lines of creeks running through the valleys.
A Capelinha map poster brings this interplay of town and terrain into sharp focus. The regular streets of the centre, the curving roads that follow the hills and the broad farmland all fit within one frame. It is a clear, unadorned portrait of an inland Brazilian town that means the most to those who have lived there.

Streets on the ridges
Outer neighbourhoods follow the tops and slopes of the rolling hills, so the streets fan out in several directions instead of filling a single round shape.
Farmland patterns
Coffee farms and eucalyptus plantations divide the countryside into broad parcels, and small creeks wind between them through the lower ground around the town.
