Haidong Zhen Map Poster & Print
Haidong Zhen lies on the eastern shore of Erhai Lake in Dali, Yunnan. The town name means roughly east of the lake, and the map makes that clear at once: a long, irregular shoreline on one side, rising hills on the other and a thin band of settlement between them. Roads follow the curve of the water, with small bays and headlands along the edge.
The eastern shore is drier and rockier than the western side of the lake, where Dali Old Town sits beneath the Cang Mountains. That difference shows on the map. Villages cluster on coves and small points of land, and the hills behind them leave little room for a grid, so streets bend and branch where the land allows.
A Haidong Zhen map poster is above all about the lake. The large area of water gives the composition calm, while the shoreline adds detail. For anyone who has travelled around Erhai by bicycle or car and watched the light over the water, it is a very direct souvenir.

Lakeside road
A road follows the water closely along the shore, linking villages and giving the map a continuous line that traces the shape of the lake.
Hills to the east
Rising ground behind the shore limits building to a narrow strip, so the settlement stretches along the lake rather than spreading into a grid.

Erhai is one of the best-loved lakes in Yunnan, and this map suits travellers who circled it, couples who stayed by the water, or people with family in the Dali area. The large lake gives any wall a sense of space.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example with a trip date or a line in Chinese. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and the lake will read clearly in each.
