Henderson occupies the southeastern corner of the Las Vegas Valley, and its map is shaped by a pattern common across the American Southwest: long arterial roads on a broad grid, filled in with looping residential streets and cul-de-sacs. Freeways frame the city. The 215 beltway sweeps through its western and central districts, and Interstate 11 heads southeast toward Boulder City and Hoover Dam.
