Inezgane lies directly south of Agadir, on the flat land near where the Souss River reaches the Atlantic. It is part of the larger Agadir urban area, but its own map looks different. Instead of the planned, spacious layout of the rebuilt coastal city, Inezgane has a tight weave of lanes and closely packed blocks.
The town is best known as a transport and trading hub. Regional roads meet here, and its large markets draw people from across the Souss valley.
