Moussadougou lies in the Goh-Djiboua district of southern Côte d'Ivoire, in a landscape of farmland, plantations and remaining patches of forest. The settlement is centred on the roads that pass through it, and on the map the built-up area gathers around their meeting point before thinning out into fields and scattered homesteads.
The street pattern is simple and informal, with a few main roads, a network of smaller lanes between houses and courtyards, and open spaces around markets, schools and places of worship.
