Nandu is a town in south-eastern Guangxi, in the subtropical hill country that lies between the region's river valleys. From above, the landscape is broken into low, rounded hills with narrow strips of flat ground between them. The town's streets follow these valleys, and the built-up area has a slightly irregular outline shaped by the terrain rather than by a planned grid.
