Historic crossing
The oldest streets meet near the centre at irregular angles. They form the densest, most characterful part of the map, where the town first grew.

Neston Map Poster & Print
Neston is a small English town. From above, it shows a pattern that has built up over centuries: a few older lanes meeting at a central crossing, a tighter cluster of buildings around them, and twentieth-century residential streets curving outward. At the edges, the streets give way to fields, hedgerows and footpaths, the patchwork of rural England.
Like many English towns of its size, Neston combines the everyday life of a local centre, with shops, a church and schools, with the character of the countryside around it. The contrast between the irregular old core and the more regular later development is easy to see on a map and tells its own story of growth.
A Neston map poster records that story in fine lines. Winding historic roads, the loops and closes of later housing, and the thin boundaries of fields and lanes around the edges all appear. It is a restrained, detailed composition that looks at home in a hallway, a study or a kitchen.

Residential loops
Later housing appears as crescents, closes and curving streets around the core. They add softer, rounded shapes to the composition.
Field boundaries
Beyond the built-up area, lanes, footpaths and hedgerow lines divide the countryside into irregular plots. They give the edges of the poster a quiet texture.
