Rāman, also known as Rama Mandi, is a town in Bathinda district in the Malwa region of Punjab. The land here is almost perfectly flat, and from above the town is a compact cluster of streets set in a vast, orderly patchwork of fields. As its alternative name suggests, Rāman grew as a mandi, a market town serving the surrounding agricultural villages.
