Rosemount lies in Dakota County, south of Saint Paul, where the suburban edge of the Twin Cities meets farmland. Its map is framed by section-line roads, the square-mile survey grid laid across the Midwestern prairie. Inside those squares, newer neighbourhoods curl into loops and cul-de-sacs.
