Roxbury Crossing sits where Roxbury, Mission Hill and the Longwood area meet in Boston. On a map it is a knot of converging routes. Tremont Street and Columbus Avenue cross here, and the Orange Line runs below the long green strip of the Southwest Corridor Park. Around it, the streets change direction abruptly as older neighbourhood grids collide.

The land was once cleared for a highway that was never built, and residents campaigned to turn it into a rail line with a park running along the top.
