Schkeuditz lies in northwestern Saxony, between Leipzig and Halle. The map here is shaped by infrastructure as much as by streets. To the north is the large runway system of Leipzig/Halle Airport, and nearby is the Schkeuditzer Kreuz, where the A9 and A14 motorways meet. Opened in 1936, it is regarded as the first cloverleaf interchange in Germany.
