Serendah is a town in the Hulu Selangor district, north of Rawang and within reach of Kuala Lumpur. On the map, it is a linear place. The old main road and the railway line run roughly north to south through the valley, and the town has grown along them, with newer housing estates spreading out onto the surrounding land.
The setting is green and gently hilly.
