Shoreview is a suburb in Ramsey County, north of Saint Paul. Few places show Minnesota's lake country as clearly on a map. Snail Lake, Turtle Lake and Island Lake, together with a scatter of smaller ponds and wetlands, break the land into irregular pieces. Interstate 694 runs along the southern part of the city, one of the few straight lines in the drawing.
