Colonial centre
Around the main plaza the streets keep a fairly regular block pattern, the densest and most ordered part of the map.

Teziutlan Map Poster & Print
Teziutlan sits high in the Sierra Norte de Puebla, close to the border with Veracruz, and its street plan reflects the mountains. Near the centre there is a recognisable colonial core around the main square and church. Farther out, the streets curve along contours, switch back up hillsides and branch into ravines, so the grid breaks apart as it spreads.
The town is known for its cool, damp climate and frequent fog, which comes up from the Gulf lowlands and settles on the ridges. It has long been a commercial centre for the surrounding highland communities, and roads from the coast and the Puebla plateau meet here.
A Teziutlan map poster shows the contrast between order and terrain. The squared blocks of the old centre sit inside a much looser web of lanes that bend to follow the land. In print, that mix of straight and curving lines gives the poster real movement, the way a place looks when the mountain gets the final say.

Contour-following lanes
Away from the centre the streets curve and double back to handle steep ground, creating the flowing, irregular lines that define the outer town.
Ravines and ridges
Small valleys cut into the town from several sides, leaving green gaps and fingers of open space between the built-up slopes.

For anyone from the Sierra Norte, this is a map of mist, steep walks and home. For everyone else it is a handsome study of a town shaped by mountains, with a far more lively line than a flat-country grid.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or wedding date, and set the coordinates line. Pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match your room.
