Arvand riverfront
The wide Arvand Rud, or Shatt al-Arab, runs the full length of the city's western edge. It separates Abadan from Iraq and gives the map a strong, continuous waterline.

关于地图
Abadan Map Poster & Print
Abadan is built on an island. The Arvand Rud, known in Arabic as the Shatt al-Arab, runs along its western side, and the Bahmanshir River runs to the east. On a map the city forms a long band beside the main river. Palm groves and waterways fill the land between the river and the streets, and the Persian Gulf lies not far to the south.
The city's modern history starts with oil. A refinery was built here in the early twentieth century and grew into one of the largest in the world. Company neighbourhoods were planned around it, with curving streets and bungalows unlike the older quarters. Abadan was also besieged for a long time during the Iran–Iraq War.
An Abadan map poster turns this mix of water and industry into line work. The refinery is a dense block of tanks and pipes along the river. Former company districts form neat, rounded patterns, and the waterways around the island frame the whole composition.

Refinery district
The refinery covers a large part of the riverbank. On the map its storage tanks and internal roads make a fine, dense texture that stands out from the residential blocks.
Planned company quarters
Neighbourhoods built for refinery staff follow curved streets and garden layouts. They sit next to more compact older areas, so the city shows two distinct planning traditions side by side.

为什么选Abadan
一张有意义的地图
Many families from Khuzestan and elsewhere have ties to Abadan through the oil industry, and those ties are often personal. A map of the island, the river and the refinery district keeps that history close without any need for words.
Add a family name, a year or a street as the title or subtitle, and keep the coordinates line or change it. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir handles the dark river especially well.
