Upland plain setting
The town lies on a level high plain, which lets its road network spread evenly and gives the map a calm, open composition with generous space around the centre.

关于地图
Afşin Map Poster & Print
Afşin sits in the northern part of Kahramanmaraş Province, on the broad upland plain it shares with neighbouring Elbistan. The elevation is high and the land is largely flat, so the town's streets spread without much interference from terrain. On a map this produces a fairly open pattern: a central core, main roads leading out across the plain, and newer districts forming blocks at the edges.
The name is widely known in Turkey through the Afşin-Elbistan energy complex, which draws on the lignite deposits of the surrounding basin. Afşin is also associated with Eshab-ı Kehf, a site linked to the story of the Seven Sleepers, which draws visitors to a hillside complex outside the town. Both give the district a recognition beyond its size.
The region was among those affected by the February 2023 earthquakes, and parts of the town have been rebuilding since. An Afşin map poster records the plan as a set of lines on a wide plateau: the central streets, the roads to neighbouring towns, and the agricultural land that surrounds everything with long, open stretches of blank space.

Roads across the basin
Straight routes run out across the plain toward Elbistan and other nearby settlements, drawing long lines that anchor the town within its wider landscape.
Growing edges
Newer residential blocks at the outskirts follow a more regular pattern than the older centre, and the contrast between the two is easy to read in a monochrome print.

为什么选Afşin
一张有意义的地图
Afşin is a place people carry with them after moving to larger cities or abroad. A map of the streets they walked is a quiet, lasting reminder of home, especially for a family whose connection to the town spans several generations.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, adding a name, a date or a line in Turkish. Five styles are available, from Classic black and white to Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, so the print fits a modern apartment or a traditional room.
