关于地图
Aki-takata Map Poster & Print
Aki-takata is a city in the inland hills of Hiroshima Prefecture, formed from the merger of several towns in the Takata district. From above, it is less a single compact town than a group of settlements spread across valleys and small basins, connected by winding roads and surrounded by forested slopes and rice fields.
The area has a long history. It was the base of the Mōri clan, and the ruins of Yoshida-Kōriyama Castle, the stronghold of the warlord Mōri Motonari, stand on a hill above the Yoshida area. The Gōnokawa river system flows through the region, and its valleys guide both farmland and settlement.
An Aki-takata map poster reflects this dispersed, rural pattern. Small clusters of streets sit in separate valleys, rivers draw thin curving lines between them, and large areas of open space represent the forested hills. The image feels calm and spacious, a portrait of countryside rather than city.

Rice field basins
Flat basins between the hills are given over to rice fields and small villages, forming quiet patches of detail among the forested slopes.
