关于地图
Al-`Ula Map Poster & Print
AlUla lies in the Medina Region of northwestern Saudi Arabia, in a long valley framed by sandstone cliffs and rock formations. An oasis of palm groves and farms runs along the valley floor, and the modern town has grown beside it. From above, the green strip of cultivation is sharply defined against the surrounding desert.
The area has been settled for thousands of years. Nearby Hegra, with its monumental Nabataean tombs cut into rock, became Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old town of AlUla, a dense maze of mudbrick houses and narrow lanes, sits on the edge of the oasis beneath a hilltop fortress.
An Al-`Ula map poster shows a landscape of strong natural lines: the valley, the cliffs and the oasis, with the town fitted between them. The tight, irregular old town contrasts with the palm groves and the newer streets. In black and white, the map has a sculptural clarity suited to the region.

Oasis palm groves
A long band of farms and palm plantations follows the valley floor, a fine, textured strip that defines the shape of the town.
Valley and cliffs
Sandstone escarpments line the valley, and the roads and settlements run parallel to them, giving the poster a strong linear structure.
